It Can Take a Long Time to Hear From Casting After Auditioning For a Film

It can take a short or long time to hear back from casting or your agent after auditioning for a film. Sometimes I have gotten a call back days after the audition. And, there have been times where it took months.

There is no way to know how long it can actually take to hear back from your agent or casting. Projects can get delayed. Sometimes the star of the project is no longer available. Finances can play a role in films being placed in limbo.

So, there is no way even guess when you might hear back from a film audition.

When Can You Expect to Hear Back After Auditioning for a TV Show

Typically, actors will hear back fairly soon after auditioning for a TV show. Normally, while one episode is being shot, the director is prepping for the next episode.
It is not unusual to hear back from your agent or casting within a few days after your audition. It could be a call back or an offer to work on the show.

Since TV shows can take anywhere between 7-10 to shoot, the casting for the next episode happens pretty quickly.
