This idea took me several years to figure out. I noticed that I was
getting auditions and bookings for a certain type.
Industry professionals were viewing me as the “regular guy.” I was
seen as successful, highly educated, friendly, kind and approachable.
My 1 Simple Secret For Booking Jobs Is Not
Based On Reality
I am thought of as regular guy who is highly educated. Ironically, I don’t have a college degree.
But, I get booked as a doctor, lawyer, teacher, professor and other types
of professionals.
How Do I Use This Secret To Book Jobs?
Instead of fighting my type as the “regular guy,” I embrace it. Sure, it
would feel better if I was viewed as the good looking leading man type,
but that is not my look.
Don’t Fight Your Type – Embrace It
I use my regular guy type as my strength. My headshots show this very clearly.
To succeed as an actor, one needs to know their type and use it to the
best of their abilities. There is a lot of work for the non-handsome/beautiful looking
person.
